Oh, look. More than two weeks have passed. And not a peep. C'mon kiddies! That's just wrong. I can't say I have anything cool or interesting going on in my life. Or I'm too lazy to share it. Pick one. :P

Ponytail, sure. Beard? Uh. I'd be seriously disturbed. Seriously.

Must crash now. I'm just broken. Broken. Like vinyl repeating. Broken. :)

Heh... Yeah, I did say those things. Scary, isn't it? I actually knew something! It doesn't have anything to do with age. Just a been there, done that kind of thing. Maturity? Growth? Recognition that you like your mental faculties being 100%? No more need to escape? I'm not sure. For me, it was a combination of all of them. Who knows, maybe it was all just experimentation. Not that you have to stop. I know I haven't. Well, for the most part, aside from the random drinking, I'm pretty damn boring. Though, now that it is summer, I seem to have fallen off the wagon pretty hard. Think I left an impact crater. :) Damn the 5L mini-kegs of beer that only cost $18.

Legal mushrooms. Instead of illegal mushrooms? :)

And no, you're not old. Damn, woman! That's a fight I have with myself all the time. I'm old. But I'm not old. Am I the average 23-year old male? Do they all have the possibilities that I have? Do I have all the possibilities that my age grants me? Or does my age hinder me? Soo many things to ponder. I'm only 23, but I want to have the responsibilities of somebody who's 28. Or 35. I want to become a CTO. Right now. NOW. Grr. Have to wait about two or three years for that. Wah. Boo to waiting for things.

Besides, you're still in school. School == young. As long as you don't have a beard+ponytail combo, you're all good. :)

Liking people... Hrm. That's an odd idea. I find that people infringe upon my space too easily. Or don't know how to notice things going on around them. That irks me. And thus, I tend to dislike people. :)

As to Minority Report... Hrm. I'm still undecided. I can't choose whether or not the mad plot flaws are outdone by the parts that actually worked. A lot of parts were somewhat... lame, for the lack of a better word. It's as if the writer(s)/director kind of gave up thinking after a while. For example (and stop reading here if you haven't seen the movie)... The hand-waving interface to the computer. That was pretty slick. I liked that. The part that kind of killed it? The fact that they had these strange little glass "disks" that they had to use to move stuff from one place to another. Cuz it's not like they could ever get rid of something like that, oh, no... Not in 50+ years... :) As to the jolting, crazy camera angles, fuzziness, and strange colouring... The movie was supposed to be a successor to Blade Runner. It was hyped as the "Blade Runner for this generation." Which it wasn't. But they stuck to the way Blade Runner was filmed, and the ambiance, etc.

Blah. It's fucktardedly hot here. Sunday was about 40 degrees (think 110F), today is gonna be 38 degrees (about 106F). And I insist on riding my bike to work. Sure its only about 6km each way (about 4 miles). But I ride it in about 10 minutes, and I ride hard. So, stinky Mike, yes. *grumbles and gets to work*

The weekend hurt. Well, Friday night did. Bad. Damn. Saturday was a nice relaxing day, went to see Minority Report. Hrm. That's a discussion on it's own. :) And yesterday, I spent the day louging about on the beach with a friend. Good stuff. Super tan, whee.

I'm kinda boring right now. Just want to rant about brute force algorithms, and the performance benefits of running on a Linux box vs. a Windows box, coding in Java vs. C++... Argh.

And congrats to Jess. I wish you the very best. It's gonna be an interesting time, but all will go well. :)
