Oh, yeah. Who here rides a bike? :)

And why did I have to edit that twice to get it to come out right? Jesus.

Ever seen Tiesto live? He's pretty good. At least he has been when he's been around here. Sucks that he's becoming the embodiment of commercial trance. Ach. And yeah, seen most DJs. They manage to come through town all the time. Armin Van Buuren is back in a week or two. Again. I think it's the third or fourth time in the past few months.

Stereo? Yeah. Stereo is good. Pretty big. But most good DJs seem to play at Soma in Montreal. Or Aria. Of course, I much prefer the clubs in Toronto, though Montreal is pretty sweet. I think that every DJ has managed to play at The Guvernment/Kool Haus. And quite a few go through System Soundbar, as well. And Turbo. Though Turbo is turning into a strange place.

Hrm. Now that I think about it, I haven't actually gone clubbing much recently. The first three months of the year were rammed with DJs. May kinda just sucked. Nobody special was around. But this month looks to be busy. :) Chris Fortier, Steve Lawler/Satoshi Tomiie, AvB... The only "wrong" one is the Max Graham/Paul Oakenfold event. Could they abuse the commercialism any more? Max Graham had so much promise. Then he sold his soul. He's a really nice guy. Ach.

I know all about Danny Howell, thanks. :) Good stuff, but I gotta be in a bit of a house mood for it to work. Most of the time I'm more up for some trance/techno/DnB. Not that I limit myself...

And XML does make the world a friendlier place. It does. Just has to be used intelligently. And has to be USED. Not just muttered (hyped?) about. So many companies talk about XML and how it'll help them to streamline things, blah blah blah. And yet, they're still paying 300k for custom-made software that'll never work the same way twice, let alone talk to anybody else's systems. Man. If I were a consultant... :)

That was highly unexpected, but really amusing. :)

On another tangent... We (company) are trying to get a hookup at a bank. AKA, get them to use our software. Huge bank, will be a big deal. Anyway, they want all of our resumes. Of course, I managed to burn mine to a CD, then lose the CD. So, uh. Had to dig the hardcopy out from the files, and am retyping it. That's easy stuff. Looks a lot better, makes more sense, etc, etc. What amuses me is how things change. What I was doing two years ago versus what I'm doing now. The fact that I was working with XML in 1999, when it was the Great Hype™. Funny yet, it still is. I remember how I looked forward to being able to get "real" experience. And now that I have it, it's not enough. Need more hardcore shit. Learn more. Always.

Lost that tangent. It just... Vanished outta my head. I guess the three hours of sleep over the past 42 (or is it more now?) wasn't enough.

He's Dutch. Not from around here. Stop thinking so damn locally. :)

What. He couldn't come up with a better name than "Tiesto?" Sounds like a new Mexican Doritos flavor or something.

Tiesto is currently one of the better DJs out there. Nuff said. And the mix is really good. Just a good selection. Even if you don't like it. :)
